A full evening ballet and incorporates latex installations, video projections,
music and one female dancer. The dancer/coreografer Trine Saltermark is
the brain and conceptual leader in the project and together with Vibeke
Steinsholm she has developed a complex dance performance which tries to
touch upon the cow as a vulnarable object in the modern milk industry.
Not political, more telling about the DRANG of the cows. Trine is brought
up on a farm in a small village in northern Norway and has a close relationship
with the huge mammals. My work in this context is very much dealing with
the inside of big bodies, not so much realistic cow sounds, but a good
deal of recorded material from inside of bodies. In this project I have
also had the pleasure of working with one of the best 3 D animators in
Norway, Rune Spaans, who is making the material for the video projections.
