iGo Green Technology : New Line of Green laptop Chargers Debut for EMEA

Saturday, March 5th, 2011

With more and more consumers looking for smart and easy ways to protect the environment and save money, iGo® (Nasdaq: IGOI), the leading provider of green power management solutions, has launched two new laptop ac adapters featuring iGo’s proprietary and patent-pending iGo Green™ Technology.

Vampire Power, or the energy drawn from devices that are plugged in but not in use, wastes 15 billion euros annually in Europe alone. iGo Green Technology products automatically detect when a device is fully charged (or disconnected), and shuts off the power drawn from the wall; then, once the battery requires further charging intelligently switch back on to provide the necessary power. iGo Green Battery Technology virtually eliminates Vampire Power.

“Whether we realise it or not, devices continue to draw precious power from the wall, even when they are not in use,” said Rob Falconer , MD of iGo EMEA. “Whilst it can be impractical for consumers to unplug their devices every time they are not being used, iGo Green Technology makes it easy for consumers by automatically regulating power, thereby reducing the standby power that each device draws.” iGo green chargers may also protect the Laptop’s battery by not continually trying to charge; only when the battery requires power does the Green charger switch back on. Aesthetically iGo Green laptop chargers have to be the best looking chargers in the market today and with their aggressive price points means consumers get “Green for Free.”

Two versions are available, one is a replacement wall charger, the other a total travel solution allowing you power your laptop in the Home, office, car or airplane. Both models ship with UK and eu plugs.

Laptop Power Adapter with iGo Green Technology (MSRP 69.90)

Power Savings: Only uses power when the laptop needs it, the iGo laptop charger can always stay plugged in while reducing Vampire Power.

Functionality: Compatible with most popular laptops, the charger also comes with a USB port so that low power devices can be charged at the same time using either the USB charge cable that came with their Blackberry, iPod, Iphone etc or by using one of iGo’s power tips, this reduces the need to carry a separate charger or a voltage converter.
Design: This sleek laptop charger has a slim profile, measuring only 16.5 millimeters thick, which is thinner than a regular deck of cards.

Green Technology Set to Lead The Way in 2010

Friday, March 4th, 2011

Commercial First Trading Corporation is pleased to announce the release of their special report on green technology and related sectors. January 28, 2010.

Astute investors know that spotting a trend on the horizon, or in its infancy, can offer a number of investment opportunities today. That was the case with green or clean technologies (greentech/cleantech) a year ago and that remains the case also today. The world has embraced technologies that offer the opportunity for a cleaner planet and healthier people and many companies have emerged to lead this movement. Gets the latest news on hydrogen testing technologies. Keep updated. Avoid online scam.

Renewable Energy; its Not Your Father’s Fossil Fuel

Renewable energy is a big player in this sector and offers a glimpse of what will soon be commonplace, based partly on trends and partly on government mandates. Cleaner burning fuels, greater mileage, efficient electrical networks and alternate means for powering vehicles are all at the center of the design and manufacturing that will be the central focus for generations to come.

Municipalities and public companies have slowly been adapting to renewable energy. In New River Valley in Virginia, the truck fleet owned by the Pepsi Bottling Group has added twenty-one hydrogen-injected trucks utilizing a fuel system produced by Dynamic Fuel Systems, Inc. a Canadian firm. The portable hydrogen generator that injects hydrogen into the engine’s intake increases mileage and reduces emissions.

Myriad Clean And Green Opportunities

The biggest benefactors of the green/clean tech trend will be manufacturers of electric hybrid vehicles, battery manufacturers, smart grid technology companies, green lighting technology, producers of wind power equipment and non-toxic cleaning products.

From 2002 to 2008, investment in greentech/cleantech grew to $15 billion. That does not include a massive commitment by world governments and major banks.  Many countries, that adapted stimulus packages to climb out of the global economic malaise, included big greentech/cleantech spending as a priority area for research and job creation.

Reducing Emissions

A123 Systems Inc. (Symbol AONE.O), a maker of lithium-ion batteries and subsidized by the U.S. government, went public in September (2009) and immediately, the share price jumped 50%. This put the first-day performance of AONE.O solidly in second place for the year for most successful. debuts.  The surprising level of interest in the company’s IPO prompted A123 to increase the number of shares available by 2.4 million. A123 System’s batteries power the growing electric car market, A sector that is seeing increased interest by investors.

The collapse of Lehman Bros had a chilling effect on the IPO market during 2009, but that may all change. An avalanche of attention is focused on renewable energy and clean technologies and that could lead to some interesting IPO possibilities.

Solar And Smart Grids

Silver Spring Networks is believed by many observers to be a potential IPO in 2010. Smart grid technology utilizes IT to manage the flow of power over a network. This is done by exchanging information between the provider and the customer. This system is fully automated and allows different devices, which make up the network, to talk to each other. Silver Spring Networks partnered with GE Energy to build a smart grid for a U.S. utility company. GE will provide smart meters for the project.

Rooftop solar panels can provide cheap renewable energy. Solyndra is a manufacturer of photovoltaic systems for the commercial rooftop market based in Freemont California. The company entered into an agreement with Milan, Italy-based Sun System. Solyndra also received $535 million from the Department of Energy in loan guarantees. In addition to the loan guarantees, the company has also received $600 million from investors.

Electric Auto IPO

There has been talk amongst those in the know that electric-car manufacturer, Tesla Motors could be considering an initial public offering. Although the company has denied the rumors, the move would be good timing for the well-funded firm. Tesla has managed to raise $783 million from some big-money investors and venture capital firms. Tesla announced profitability in July of 2009. As the large internal-combustion engine companies release new hybrid and electric models, the maker of the sleek Model S sedan would stir things up in 2010.

GreenCell Technologies IPO

Another highly anticipated IPO is the Canadian company GreenCell Technologies. The HydroCell they produce which is an onboard hydrogen and oxygen gas generator reduces fuel emissions by 50% and fuel consumption by 30%.

Technology That Is Here To Stay

The writing is on the wall; cleantech/greentech is the future of research, manufacturing and investment. The U.S. Department of Energy, which has pledged nearly $100 billion to back a wide variety of green technologies, is just one example of the enormous interest in this sector. The evolving industry based on low carbon research and development will propel this segment  and make it mainstream.

The need for high-mileage vehicles, cleaner air, wise power usage and even social media will continue to be compelling forces well into the future.

Commercial First Trading Corporation is a leading financial services firm offering a wide range of services within investment management and wealth management services. The company serves clients worldwide including corporations, institutions, and individuals.

GreenCell Technologies is a Canadian company dedicated to designing and bringing to market, technology-based products for the transportation industry. The current product is called the Hydrocell, an on-board, on-demand hydrogen generator engineered specifically for the diesel trucking and haulage industries.

The Top Three Challenges Facing Green Technology

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011

First, any new technology needs massive funding for research and development. The money will not only be used to fund the energy research project itself, but also the means to deliver the energy and use it efficiently. Thus, the gathering of financial resources will be a gigantic and on-going process, something that becomes particularly difficult during times of financial crises, like today.

Suppose the most efficient and most environmentally friendly fuel was discovered and developed. After this, necessary delivery infrastructure should be constructed so that this new kind of energy can be transmitted to consumers. Furthermore, machinery that is being used not only in industrial processes and also in homes should also be able to utilise this new energy source.

Second, the birth of a new industry usually means the death of another. Thus, corporate interests certainly come into the picture. Today, more than a fourth of all of the world’s electricity production is from renewable energy resources like wind turbines and geothermal power plants. Thus, the need for traditional fuel – coal and other petroleum derivatives – goes down.

Businesses who have been in place for many years, whose main reason for being such corporate giants is due to petroleum, will surely find ways to subtly slow down, if not postpone, the demand shift. The cost of realigning and recalibrating machinery can amount to billions of dollars, something that stockholders will easily frown upon, as it infringes upon the amount of their yearly dividends.

Lastly, an enormous number of government contracts in developing countries have to do with using petroleum and other non-renewable energy sources. For example, look at the pipelines. These infrastructures, at best, were constructed via build-operate-transfer contracts which take decades to be completed. Suppose green energy gets into the picture, what will the national governments do with these prospectively cataclysmic financial ventures?

The world needs a unified stand towards shifting to renewable or green technologies. However, their first attempt, the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, ended in vain. So far, no new consensus has been made. Actually, there was no consensus to begin with.

TGEG, SBSC, TBE and TGP; Our Instrument to Green Technology

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011

Waste management serves as an essential improvement in the world today. Hence, we consider RECYCLING the most significant way to implement proper waste disposal. Be delighted by your observance of saving the planet in case you have already began recycling, or have been completely diverting the very thought of getting started. I, as one of your fellow Planet Caretaker at TGP and TGEG, SBSC and TBE Earth Warriors encourage you along with open arms to hold on to our beliefs and common goal in making our earth a green planet once more!. There’s a whole great deal to educate ourselves and as such loads of alternative ways for every single and each particular person which might help out, in REDUCING the level of nonrenewable resources used, REUSING what we could, and RECYCLING what’s left.

TGEG, SBSC, TBE and TRUE GREEN PLANET are corporations set by none other than Ronald Shane Flynn. He had a prescient vision that has influenced many nations by his campaign for a greener and improved modern world.  He may perhaps be the wizard powering and lurking behind enormous organizations struggling to help with making green technology the primary provider of energy across the world.

TRUE GREEN ENERGY GROUP- the primary along with his four companies in the Philippines and Canada which is generally concerned in promoting world power and green technologies.

SPECTRUM BLUE STEEL CORPORATION -which is apparently the sister company of TGEG that instigates and deploys biosphere machines.

TRUE BIO ELECTRIC- that is certainly intended to look after the development, finalizing and distribution of TGEG biosphere technology’s green energy.

TRUE GREEN PLANET- is the latest among the three and that is guaranteed to head into the most effective way in implementing green technologies and other great revolutionary alternatives towards an enduring future.

Ron Flynn initiated the companies True Green Energy Group, SBSC, True-Bio Electric and True Green Planet with the foremost idea of treating our world with the promotion of green technologies and recommends developing a zero waste society. The firms also provide a lasting investment opportunity and not just a compelling financial stability but also providing them with the opportunity in fulfilling the immense desire of saving the Planet.

He may have concentrated his life in developing an environment friendly and better world. Lots that tend to have got involvement in thinking about the biosphere gasification project as unsuccessful and the worst is, some have tried to screw up his identity to set him down. Yet unfortunately he’s got under no circumstances to be pulled down by any critics.

Green Initiative, A Project By A Design Build Company Who Wants To Enlighten People On Global Warming And Our Responsibility As People

Friday, January 14th, 2011

Many people saw An Inconvenient Truth, a movie made famous by former vice president Al Gore. But the real question is what have you done since you saw this movie or others like it? Recently a documentary produced by Leonardo DiCaprio titled “The 11th Hour” made an impact on one of the owners of Simply Additions, a construction company made famous by its website http://www.simplyadditions.com.

“The movie inspired me to do something about what I just saw. I wanted to immediately help draw more awareness to the incredible problem we as humans created for ourselves. So many ideas filled my mind about what I can do, but the most immediate action that I could take became very apparent.

I decided to create a new section on our website called the Green Initiative. In this section my goal is to fill it with articles and media content that pertains to educating people on what they can do to help this necessary cause, because we all need to do something.

The goal right now is to create content of interest to visitors of our website, so that they view some of these movies out here and perhaps get inspired themselves to take action. Our Green Initiative section only contains a few articles and some movie trailers for now, but the plan is to keep expanding it and filling it with guides on how they can help save money, go green and do their part to save our environment.

From a remodeling business perspective, we are trying to get people to purchase technologies like Geothermal Heating Systems and Solar Powered Hot Water Systems. Right now we are capable of building and remodeling homes with green technology, but we are not seeing the demand. I think the problem is that people are afraid of some of the initial costs to implement green technologies like Solar Power and most likely the majority of the problem is that people are just un-aware of their options.

As our website grows, we plan to educate people on all their building options and also provide them with energy saving & reducing tips. People come to us because they need a home addition or a new home, soon we’ll be able to help these people see the light and go green with their renovations or building plans. I think that there are many people out there that want to do the right thing, but maybe they just don’t have the time to figure out what those things are. I see this Green Initiative Project as a personal duty of mine since I partly own a remodeling company that builds a lot of large scale projects such as room additions and custom homes. With a little time and effort spent on our website; which is growing in popularity, our customers will be asking us for green advice and green technologies instead of us trying to push the technologies on them.

In the long run, we as a construction company want to be known for our commitment to quality building as well as our commitment to being a responsible business entity. We have won several awards from the Better Business Bureau that deal with having high ethical standards and providing quality consumer education regarding the residential construction industry. Now we are gearing our efforts to educate consumers on green options and green responsibilities, we all have to start somewhere. ”

How Does Biosphere Gasification Technology Creates a Green Planet

Thursday, January 13th, 2011

Just like Ronald Flynn‘s vision, investing in a green technology is a means of green solution which is one way to a sustainable future. He was very certain about biosphere technology as an improvement. As an international specialty energy group, True Green Energy Group and True Green Planet bear a major responsibility towards people and the environment. Therefore, corporate main duty not only serves as motivation, it is also closely interwoven into the company’s objectives. Environmental protocol needs to be developed on the basis of clean technology to sustain consumption of natural resources. An organized institution needs to make continuous efforts to reduce consumption of renewable resources, and develop productive ways of reusing and recycling used/waste resources.

In order to achieve a green planet, it is essential for companies to invest in green technology and innovation. Approbation of newer technologies and innovation in processes would provide us with the necessary tools to have higher standards of safety, quality and environmental protection such as biosphere technology.

A very innovative technology of True Green Energy Group and True Green Planet which indicate our commitment to the cause of the environment. Stated here are the main advantages of the biosphere process:

• Reduce a huge amount of carbon emissions – reducing carbon footprint in the atmosphere

• A flexible means of fuel supply. – It contains significant amount of biomass.

• Reduces landfill wastes. – lessens the amount of trash we have around

• Systematizes a garbage collection. – enlighten us to manage our waste

• Proven and reliable solution. – Produced clean gas which was combusted and can be used on chimney-less household devices

By utilizing biosphere technology development practices, we all can add value to our future while making efficient use of available resources. The value in such initiatives is only going to be more impulsive as we look ahead to the future and realize the significance of the environment.

Green Energy for a Green Christmas

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

Thanksgiving has ended which marks the official start of the holiday season in the United States. Other countries have also begun their celebration as the Christmas month arrives. Green is the general color of Christmas, not to mention that Christmas trees are made from evergreen coniferous trees. Green is associated with nature, as it often symbolizes the need for more plants and trees amidst the expanding cities and huge amounts of forests being razed to give way to infrastructures. But now, in this time of great environmental peril brought by pollution, green has been embedded with a deeper meaning. Green now means pollution free. And the best way to have a green Christmas is through the use of Green Energy.

A Green Christmas is considered by environmentalists as the greatest gift we can give to the planet and to ourselves. It is the season to give love, so we should show our love to the planet we have wounded so badly. We should start living green today to help the environment. Energy generation is the main root of pollution. Energy generation therefore, is also where changes should be made. We should make the shift from the harmful brown energy technologies to the healing green energy technologies. Green Energy is energy produced with very little pollutants that the level of pollution does not go beyond the ability of the earth to recover.

Green Energy generally involves the use of renewable energy sources that empower sustainability. Renewable sources such as solar power, hydro power, and wind power produce very little pollution, but along with other similar sources pale in terms of efficiency. This inability to meet efficiency demands is the main reason why brown energy technology has prevailed over the years. This has caused research and development to be centered on the improvement of the efficiency level of green technology. And all the R&D has borne fruit with the materialization of efficient green energy.

Green Energy has experienced great technological advancements and innovations over the decades and has finally reached the level of efficiency being offered by conventional forms of energy. Biosphere technology utilizes advance forms of the gasification process to transform solid wastes into clean energy. This revolutionary system is considered the first real solution to air and land pollution.

Green Technology for Pothole Repairs

Tuesday, January 11th, 2011

With the passage of time, asphalt road is subject to breakdown from normal wear and tear and inclement weather. The more it rains and snows, the more concrete and asphalt will break down. This is the main reason for potholes formation. Pavement is always under pressure and over time minor cracks become major problems. With continuous stress and water, those cracks grow and small chunks of road surface are pulled out by the vehicles tires. This becomes a pothole which will continue to grow until fixed. When this pothole gets filled with water, it leads to further degradation of the asphalt.

As per the studies, traditional pothole repair methods release enough carbon dioxide that requires 11 trees to absorb and process. With the modern eco friendly pothole repair methods, it only takes 1-2 trees to process the CO2 released by the procedure. This modern method is known as infrared repair of road asphalt. This involves the following step to be carried out:

Cleaning the Repair Area: To begin with an infrared road repair, it is necessary to clean the repairable area from dirt and rubbish. Dirt is an insulator for radiation absorption into the pavement and acts as a pollutant for the repair process.

Heating the Repair Area: The infrared unit is positioned over the asphalt pothole or the area to be repaired. Then it is heated for a few minutes or until the asphalt gets soft up to 3-5 inches deep.

Rejuvenating the Repair Area: After removing the infrared unit the treated area is raked and reshaped. Next an asphalt rejuvenator is applied to the repair area. Asphalt rejuvenator is a manufactured mixture that absorbs and penetrates the existing asphalt and restores the reactive components lost due to oxidation.

Addition of Asphalt and Leveling: Infrared repairs require some new asphalt. This new asphalt is added and leveled. A depth of less than an inch is left on pavement above the surrounding grade. This allows the repaired road to properly settle after the work is done.

Compaction of the Repaired Area: The repaired area is compacted while still hot, creating a seamless thermal bond between old asphalt and the newly repaired area. The compactor which is used for this delivers over 2,500 lbs of pressure on the newly repaired area.

Cooling and cleaning the repaired area: Finally the road is swept and cleaned to shovel away any remains left near the asphalt patch. The repaired pavement can be driven on immediately.

Green Technology: New Recommendations Make It Easy To Be Green

Sunday, January 9th, 2011

It might not be easy being green if you happen to be the CEO of British Petroleum in light of the Gulf oil disaster, but if you’re responsible for a digital signage network being environmentally responsible has never been simpler thanks to the Screen Forum.

That’s because the Screen Forum, an independent working group focused on sharing best practices in the digital signage industry, released earlier this summer a list of one dozen steps aimed at ensuring digital signage networks deliver the maximum impact with the minimum affect on the environment.

The steps, available on the group’s website, are a well-reasoned list of proscriptions for minimizing the impact of digital signage networks on the environment. While the list is publicly available on the Web and self explanatory, I found one aspect of the Screen Forum’s steps fascinating and worthy of a bit of comment.

Achieving balance underpins much of the list -the balance between environmental impact and performance; the balance between achieving communications goals and doing so in a way that does not diminish, or is sympathetic to, nearby landmarks; and the balance between fulfilling its main purpose and giving back to the community by promoting environmental awareness.

Balancing performance and environmental impact touches many phases of digital signage network rollout and operations. The concept laid out in the steps seems to focus on the drawing a distinction between saturation and sufficiency. Many of the steps advocate doing no more than is necessary to accomplish the desired mission of communications. Limiting the number of computer components, the size of the network and number of displays therein as well as the power requirements of the network seeks to balance the task at hand with the environmental cost of accomplishing it.

Achieving equilibrium in terms of digital signage performance and placement vis-à-vis nearby landmarks gets at the most basic of environmental concerns, namely impacting the locale in which the sign hangs. Reading this step reminded me of the contrast between states that have outlawed, or legislated extremely strict restrictions, on the use and placement of billboards along highways and driving down the Las Vegas Strip. The Screen Forum’s admonition balances the legitimate desire to communicate important messages via digital signs with the need to appreciate the surroundings of the signs and minimize whenever and however possible the likelihood of the signs detracting from their local environment.

Acknowledging the opportunity to use the network -if even only on a periodic basis- to raise the awareness of the public about environmental concerns is particularly fascinating because it recognizes there’s far more to a digital signage network than hardware and software. In fact, the reason for being of any digital signage network is to communicate messages -often finely defined, narrowcast communications. Balancing that mission with the unrelated goal of communicating to the public about environmental concerns recognizes that there’s more to communicating successfully than a well-defined message. It’s almost as if the Screen Forum transplanted the concept of public service TV messages to the arena of digital signage, except digital signage networks have no government-mandated public service obligation to fulfill.

Certainly, there’s more to the Screen Forum’s 12 steps than balance, but the concept plays an important role in the thinking behind the recommendations. Anyone considering rolling out a digital signage network would be well served to check out the Screen Forum’s list and given it some serious consideration.
